Проблема с S5000PAL - мигает System Status LED.

Доброго времени суток. Недавно в серверной обнаружил SR2500ALLX (базовая конфигурация: 2xПроца 5050, 5 винтов, Raid контроллер на mid-plane т.е. активный mid-plane, 2xБП, BBU и miniDIMM)

... У него мигает System Status LED. Сервер работает с 10 января 2007. Админ который обслуживал этот сервер тупо забивал на такую мелочь. Сейчас решили разобраться с этой мигалкой.
Версия FWPackage: 5.0.1 - 0031 (при загрузке выдает что это Test Version)

Есть предположение что проблема с одним из блоков питания (Power Unit /Power Redundancy (#0x02) The BMC on S5000PAL has reported a warning deassertion event for Power Redundancy. The event has the following information: full redundancy has been regained. No action is required).

Посоветуйте как решить данную проблему...

По моему, ответ напрашивается сам собой. Вначале обновите все прошивки.

Зачем обновлять, если возможно неисправность в блоке питания (Power Unit /Power Redundancy (#0x02) The BMC on S5000PAL has reported a warning deassertion event for Power Redundancy. The event has the following information: full redundancy has been regained. No action is required) или я ошибаюсь

. И еще маленький вопросик по поводу прошивок. Стоит ли сделать Back up базы перед использованием Firmware Update Package (или это не нужно т.к. пререпрошивается все кроме Raid Bios и инициализация Raid не понадобиться)???

Я прошивал S5000VSA поверх сконфигурированного рейда и установленной win2k8, так вот, конфигурация рейда и соответственно данные на хардах остались нетронутыми, но это не говорит что такое может прокатить на другой платформе, контроллере и т.п. Береженого бог бережет, бекап ни когда не будет лишним.

перед прошивкой следовало бы прочитать файл ридми... там порусски

написано что перед прошивкой отключите жесткие диски и вытащите контроллеры если они есть... ибо ответственность на падение падет на вас...
в моей практике не было правда падений ниразу

Знаю случай, когда на s5000vsa развалился рейд при прошивке, но там догадались прошить биос до завершения ребилда (винт вылетел до прошивки).

1) Вы опубликовали кусок лога BMC за май месяц прошлого года. Есть что либо более свежее?
2) Проверьте состояние кабелей питания.
3) Убедитесь, что с прошивками у Вас всё в порядке. Неоднократно бывали случаи отгрузки коллегами-конкурентами серверов на основе интеловских платформ без обновления заводских прошивок. Результатом были самые разнообразные разновидности глюков...
4) Backup надо делать ВСЕГДА и на ДВА разных носителя.
